While students can start lessons at any time, we follow an academic calendar that is designed to prepare a student for recitals and festivals by the end of their first full term. The SCMS Academic Calendar is divided into three terms: Fall, Spring, and Summer. In order to align more closely with the calendar year, the Fall term is 16 weeks long, beginning near the start date of the Miamisburg School System and ending before Christmas. Spring term is 20 weeks, beginning the first full week of January and ending the first week of June. Summer term is approximately 10 weeks long, from the end of Spring to the beginning of the Fall Term.
