Almost 30 students from Star City Music Studios participated in the National Federation of Music Clubs district festival on Saturday, March 10th, at the University of Dayton. Congratulations to the following students for receiving some of the top ratings at the festival!

The Miamisburg Community Chorus, a city institution for over 50 years, will present its spring concert, “Hallelujah, What A Savior!” on Sunday, March 25th, at 4:00pm, at St. Jacob Lutheran Church, next door to the studio.
Star City Music Studios will be closed for Spring Break from Friday, March 30th, through Sunday, April 8th. Our office will remain open to answer calls, but students will not have lessons, unless their instructors have discussed make-up lessons with them directly.
Pianist Aaron Mood and violist Dr. Kevin Nordstrom will perform a free recital of music for viola and piano written by women composers, including Marion Bauer and Rebecca Clarke. The recital is Sunday, March 18th, 2018, at 4:00pm, at Grace Lutheran Church in West Carrollton.
Students of all ages will participate in the National Federation of Music Clubs Festival on Saturday, March 10th, at the University of Dayton’s Fitz Hall. Participating students will be judged by qualified adjudicators from our area, and will receive written comments and a rating. Best of luck to all of our participants!
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Mr. Pagnard is unable to perform with us this Friday. We are in the process of rescheduling his recital for Fall 2018. However, we are excited to announce that DPO Principal Harpist Leslie Stratton will join us this weekend! Click for details.
Pianist Aaron Mood will perform a recital of music for clarinet and piano with Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra Principal Clarinetist John Kurokawa on Tuesday, February 27th, at 7:30pm, at the Troy Hayner Cultural Center in Troy, Ohio. Free admission!
Students participating in the National Federation of Music Clubs Junior Festival are invited to perform in a recital on Saturday, February 24th, at 3:00pm, at St. Jacob Lutheran Church.

Composers of Ohio Cooperative Organization for Acoustic Music (COCOA) will present their next free concert on Sunday, February 11th, at 3:00 pm, at Lutheran Church of Our Savior. COCOA strives to give local composers a non-competitive platform to have their music performed and recorded by professional musicians.
