Star City Music Studios’ First Annual Student Competition was held on Saturday, April 29th, at Trinity Church in Miamisburg. The field of 11 competitors performed for guest judge Amanda Roberts of Wright State University, who named first and second place, as well as three honorable mentions.

Students participated in the Ohio Federation of Music Clubs District III-E Junior festival on March 11th at the University of Dayton and earned 12 Unanimous Superiors, three Superiors, and three Excellents. In addition, four students qualified for their 15-point cups!
Congratulations to Clarinet Instructor Patrick Fansler, who was named a finalist in Wright State University’s Young Artist Competition. After competing in the preliminary round on March 11th, Patrick was named a finalist and invited to compete in the final round concert on Sunday, April 9th.
Star City Music Studios has announced a partnership with Trinity Church to house our historic 1892 Chickering grand piano in the church’s fellowship facility. The piano is a 6′ 3″ model 109C, which features detailed carvings on its cabinet and an extra wide soundboard for an exceptionally resonant tone.
